wont stay running
I own a 1971 chevelle Mailbu, and I need some feed back from the group. The 350 wont seem to want to idle runs very rough and just wont stay lit. I have replaced all of the most obvious. carb two fuel filters, new fuel pump. and still it seems to suck dirt in from some where. is the tank my first and next step?thanks

Re: wont stay running
Hello Mike, welcome to AF.
Is there nasty old fuel in that tank? How is the engine compression? Timing? Plug wires in proper order? Just some things to check. Let us know how you make out. Tom

Re: wont stay running
How have you made out? Was there a lot of junk in the tank?
Did you find the build sheet when pulling the tank? Got any pictures of your Velle you could post? Can you tell I am excited?
