'78 contiental front end

I'm rebuilding my '78 and having the hardest time getting the front suspension apart does anyone know any tricks? I finally got the upper and lower control arms off. now I can't get the power steering unit off the steering thing. I broke a 1.5 ton puller on it and the hammer isn't seem to be doing anything. maybe time for a bigger hammer.

I believe you're referring to the Pitman Arm.. yes, their a bear to get off.
Some folks soak 'em in penetrating oil before breaking a few pullers.. for the ones that really wont budge you might have to get the whole box out, arm attached, and put it in a press. I've heard of 15 tons pressure to get some off..
