need help

I have a 97 Maxima SE and I want to replace my head unit. I have the cd/tape combo unit in now. I recently purchased a sony explode cd/mp3 player and wish to install it. Does anyone know how to get the original head unit out and also do I need some kind of adapter to fit the new cd player.

Thanks,

Stephen

On a similar note, what's the magic trick to get the covers off the speakers, I want to replace the rear 6x9's with a couple 4-ways and the 6.5's with some three ways, but I cant figure out how to pop the covers off. any help would be great.

thanks guys.

naw, the bottom part of the back seat comes up by jus pulling on the 2 d rings under the lip on it, then there are 2 bolts that are holding the back of the seat in place, jus take thoes out and then lift up on the seat and its out. u can pull out the gray thing in the back window, that way you will have much easier access to the speakers

Right on. I'll give it a whirl tomorrow and see how it goes. Of course, I left the speakers on the other side of the country, but a dry run never hurt, you know.

THanks for the info.

any idea on the doors?
