I need Help!!

I have a 1995 Saturn sc2 I just changed the heater core and the water pump. It still overheats and leaks water looking like it comes from the center toward the firewall. I check the fluid in the reservoir it shows full. Oh yeah i also replaced the cap because it was coming out of the old one. The fan does work when the ac is on. I have ran it about a year now that way keeping the fan on and its always ran fine. please give some advice thanks!!!

Re: I need Help!!

More thank likey its the radiator that is bad. Most last about 11-12 years, so yours is kind of over due. Look online for them rather cheap.

Before replacing it, check to be sure the resiviour is not clogged. There is a hose that goes from the bottom of the resiviour to the water pump area. Disconnect one end (either one) and be sure fluid flows out (have a bucket there to catch it). It should flow very freely.

Also replace your ECTS. This sensor controls the fan when the a/c is not on. You want to replace the one with the 2-wire connector.

Normal operating temps on the highway with the fan off is 1/2 as per the guage. Fan should not turn on untill 1-2mm before red
