How many lugs on an '01 Jetta?

I have a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta and I am looking to put rims on it. I am not very familiar with working on cars and such .. but I know that I need to know how many lugs in order to purchase rims.

Do all Jettas have the same amount of lugs?

I want to check but my hubcaps are really hard to get off so I figured I'd just ask on here.

Please, pleaseee help

Re: How many lugs on an '01 Jetta?

All Jettas from 1999.5 to 2005.4 have 5 lug nuts. Now, you also need to know the bolt pattern, which is 5x100 or 5x4.0. This is very important when purchasing rims, since the newer Jettas have 5x112 bolt patterns, but many are advertised on eBay as fitting older Jettas as well.

If you check out tirerack.com for rims, you can enter in the year, make and model of your car, and they'll show you the ones that fit. You can also view each rim on a Jetta! Hope this helps.
