Does anyone have any suggestions as to putting on the left drivers side door handle on the 98 GMC?

I'm assuming you mean the inside handle? The one on my '96 broke a couple of years ago.

It's a PIA but can be done with patience. The entire inside of your door has to come off. Once you get the panel off, you'll see what I mean about PIA, but you'll also see how to do it.
