I have a 2007 Mazda 3 i touring sedan which I really enjoy driving. The workmanship and design is far superior to the Ford Focus I also tried at the time I purchased the Mazda. I previously owned a 1982 Mazda 323, which I also enjoyed, then two Ford Escorts. One was a '91 and the other a '98. I traded the '98 Escort in on the M3 and have not been at all dissapointed.
The seats are very comfortable and roomy, but hug you like a racing seat. The driver's seat can be adjusted to many different configurations and with the telescoping tilt steering wheel, good instrumentation and controls on the steering wheel, it is very comfortable to drive.
The car is fun to drive and has the pep needed for in-town driving but good economy, too. Like others have said, a remote trunk release on the key fob would complete the package.
I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a fun car to drive, with a reasonable cargo capacity, but also economical.
