G6 Brake Pads

Anyone had this problem? Went to put front brake pads on my Daughters 2005 G6 GT today and had already purchased the pads a week or so ago and guess what. No fit! The pads for the 2005 G6 GT are longer than the pads on her car. I got on line and looked up 3 different auto parts stores to see if maybe they just gave me the wrong pads and everything I can see is the pads I were given are the right pads for the GT model. I even looked up the serial # and it comes back to a 2005 G6 GT. It appears that Pontiac put regular G6 calipers and rotors on instead of G6 GT stuff. The regular G6 pad are what are on this vehicle and are much smaller. Also GT is all over this car and it was bought new from a local dealer. What gives?????

Well I can tell you, that you are the 3rd person who I've heard to have that problem. Everyone else has gotten the smaller brake pads due to a brake pad change through the dealer and they put it on, noone directly from the factory.
