Bose CD hangs

'05 Duramax with a Bose Stereo. It'll always find the beginning of a CD and play it. Usually all the way through but sometimes it just stops and all I hear is the head searching back and forth. It'll do this until it times out and ejects the disc with "Check CD" error on the screen.
Most of the time if I try to skip to another song it does the same thing.

Someone told me that it could be the speed recording of my CD's but it does it randomly on any CD. Either one I've burned or a purchased one.

Anybody have any ideas on how to correct this (???)
