Re: 04 Mountaineer-rear wiper and pas door window

Good day. I was curious if you ended up figuring this out? I have the same problem. My passenger window will not go down. My rear wiper works a little but not like it should and it won't work at all if it is cold. Any help is much appreciated!

Re: 04 Mountaineer-rear wiper and pas door window

Welcome to the forum!

For any of this issues, the more information you can provide, the better. It's very difficult to reduce the amount of guesses/suggestions when all we have to work with is, "My window doesn't work." Does it make any noise when you press the up or down button? Do the headlights dim when you press either button? Does it work from the passenger door switch but not from the master switch on the driver's door?

As for the rear wiper, that could be due to a weak motor, bad connection that's limiting the current, or a wiper arm that is slipping on the drive shaft. However, if the arm is slipping, it probably wouldn't park in the correct location. Does it park properly? The clue that it won't work when cold may point towards a window motor issue.

Jlafave, assuming that your Mountaineer is also a 2004 model year, is your tailgate cracked which could be allowing extra moisture into the rear liftgate?
