revs at idle

I have a 95 eagle talon turbo, when you first start it, it revs to 3000 rpms for about 15 secs then back to normal. when you restart the engine it revs from 800 rpms to 2500 rpms in short cycles. please help !

Re: revs at idle

You may have one of the 3 following things to blame:

Malfunctioning Fast idle air valve(FIAV)
Malfunctioning Idle Air controller(ISC)
A decent size vacuum leak

Check for loose or broken vac hoses and buy a haynes manual to see how to check your ISC.
