I think P0753 has something to do with the transmission, but have you tried running it with the MAF sensor unplugged?

What motor and how many miles are on your car?

If it is not that, I think you have a fueling issue. Attach a gage to the schraeder valve on the fuel rail and see what you're getting.

A common failure amongst many GM vehicles, TBI to SFI included is the in-tank fuel pump in the 100-200k mile range. The TBI pumps seem to last a bit longer, guessing because they're under less stress since the output pressure is so much lower.

P0753 is a transmission shift solenoid code that can set under this condition: 1-2 shift solenoid has a wiring fault, which means you need to have your valvebody worked on. Not an uncommon repair on these transmissions, the procedure can be done without removing your transmission.

Re: 99 grand prix stumbles under load PLEASE HELP!!=)

hey all thanx so much for all your hep!!!!
always appreciated for sure!!!!!

ok first question is.. the transmission repair..
we just put a new transmission in .. the junk yard gave us a bad one before
we had to take it out and replace it with a different one they gave to us..
they said they were sorry the trans was bad.. and heres a good one!! lol

so is that valve body job a big job?? expensive one.. and would that cause the engine to stumble and backfire and all that good stuff under a load?

i will check the fuel pressure also and with the maf sensor unplugged and i will get back to you as soon as possible

again thanx!!!!!!!!!!
