Identify this part that fell off please

I found this under our 92 crown vic. It looks like & is the same size as a lug nut, but its hard rubber. Its either from the 92 crown vic or a 95 explorer. Looks like maybe a stop or a plug maybe? Any ideas?

Thanks
Tim

Re: Identify this part that fell off please

That looks similar to a hood stop that keeps the hood from rattling.

That’s the first place I looked & they are all there & look completely different than the one I found on the ground.

Re: Identify this part that fell off please

it is either a hood or trunk/lift gate bump stop like said above.

Re: Identify this part that fell off please

It could be the bushings between your trunk and the frame to dampen the sound, My '94 had one like that fall off and it actuually goes around a bolt, so if that rusts or breaks it may be what that is.
