Nissan Skyline 2000 GT/ES

Today I completed the Aoshima Nissan Skyline 2000 GT/ES.

I painted it with TS-51 Racing Blue and polished it.

Jeez, that's tucked. Gotta love the external oil cooler. Is the rear left wheel tweaked? It looks like it may need some readjusting, maybe it's just the angle. Neat kit.

Something's wrong with the wheels. It doesn't seem to be sitting correctly.

Not sure if you have noticed it yet.

If you give me a comment like this, than say what's wrong with the wheels. I don't see it, so I can't change it.

Re: Nissan Skyline 2000 GT/ES

The wheels aren't straight. Is this how it's supposed to be?

I have never seen anything like that, so I am not sure if it's a style thing or a misalignment thing.

The rest of the build is very nice.

Re: Nissan Skyline 2000 GT/ES

ah, this is what they called the drifters' wheel configuration.
i seen this setup in the some drifting competitions...cars going sideways instead of forward!!! most of the time you won't see anything though, full of smoke screen!
hehe...

of course they are not for the street use...only for demos or competitions
hope this explains everything...

its called Oni Kyan(demon Camber), hardly used for drifting purposes these days this look is popular with the Granchan,Kyusha kai,Bozosuku crowds.

Yup, like what lownslow said, it's called a Oni Kyan style. "Oni" in Japanese is "Devil or Demon" and Kyan "camber" style. You won't see such crazy cambers on drift competition cars, it just isn't suitable for drifting.

Re: Nissan Skyline 2000 GT/ES

love the bosozoku/yankee treatment. love it!! and the camber on the rear wheel is a natural setup/mod among the bosozoku crowd. its part of the japanese car culture. i have seen camber more extreme than this.

search for bosozoku cars/images and you'd see their wild style. im building a 1:1 bosozoku ride myself.

Doesn't look suitable for right/left turns either. However, this style looks 100 times sweeter than the dongs or donks they make here in the US.

Those kits dont really interest me to make buy I have to admit you pulled it off very nicely. Good job on the model.
