Dimmu Borgir is heavier as far as mainstream black metal goes. Or, check out Behemoth, who has been around forever and have only recently become popular because of their shift from black metal to death metal with blasphemous black lyrics

Good call on Behemoth. I hope they rerelease all their old stuff now that their big. If their earlier albums had better production value (re: better than the sound of some kids goofing around with Pro Tools in a garage), those albums would be epic.
