1997 Malibu Won't start

I was driving this car with a bad head gasket on the highway for about approxialy 10 miles. After I got off the highway I change the oil and drove to the nearest gas station. I got back into the car now it wont start even when I tried to jump it with jumper cables. I put a piece of metal across the starter bolts and that didnt even work...........Can this be the engine.........

Could be seized, pull the plugs, get any coolant out and try cranking the engine.

One other thing to check - my 98 Malibu had the positive battery cable rot out right near the battery. I was able to pull the red cable apart from where it goes into the molded end attached to the battery. Pull on the cable there and see if it separates. This could cause the symptoms you are having. Good luck.

If you pull the plugs at the gas station take a squirt oil can of oil with you after you blow out all anti freeze put some oil in each cylinder turn engine over put in plugs and you might get home.
Take your heads to a machine shop and get pressure tested. Use a flashlight and check closely between cylinders for a crack. If cracked exchange for a short block and get a valve job.
You can go high dollar with a Jasper remanufactured engine.
