P1351 causes prk lights/dash lights fuse to blow???

I've been chasing an electrical bug in my '97.

Finally found what was causing iginition modules to burn up (blew 3 in 3 days).

After the 2nd unit blew, I replaced the coil, thinking the secondary shorted to the primary.
When I installed the 3rd unit with the new coil, rotor and cap, it still was missing badly.
That left 1 of 3 things, the distributor, or the cam sensor which is inside the distributor, or the VCM again. I ended up replacing the dist. with a LLT distributor from Auto Zone, as the whole unit was only $25.00 more than a cam sensor alone.

Problem solved (so far, 3 days of driving, no burnt-up module), but on the second day, the truck didn't start initally. So I re-cranked it, and it fired right up, but the SES light came on, and it was a P1351. Truck has run fine since then.

Tonight on the way home from work, I noticed I had no dash lights.
PRK Lights (#3 fuse, 20amp) fuse was blown.

Another coincidences?

Fuse 3 is for.
Headlight switch.
Transfer case.
Under hood light.
Rear washer pump.

For the code 1351
I would get a factory repair manual or all data and go threw the repair flow chart for that code.

After running through the Mitchell Repair guide for P1351 codes,
Looks like the VCM took a crap.

This'll be the third unit. 67K miles.
Bummer.

No.
I got a remanufactured unit from Napa. About 3 years ago.
Might have been 1 year warranty.

Napa hardly warranties any of there stuff nowadays.
Used to be Lifetime 5 years back.
Guess they got too many returns.

Yes it is.

More problems today.

I tried holding off as long as I could before replacing the computer.
Truck wouldn't start yesterday, so I went to Napa and ordered another one.
Put it in today, truck still doesn't start.
Checked the spark, very weak, and irratic on the number 1 plug.
Crap, another pick-up/cam sensor blown.
Took the Distributor out, and back to Autozone for a LLT swap.
Put it in a few minutes ago, started right up.

And BTW, I blew another 20 amp fuse, same one, #3 in the box.
Has PRK LGTS stamped on it, but it controls interior, running lights, and other things.

So, I'm hoping the VCM (which I tracked above to be the problem) fried another Sensor.
I'll let ya'll know in a few weeks again.

Junk yard brains do not work out very good.
The need reprogramed for the truck/car to work right.
