TBird fuel mileage question 4.6 vs 3.8
I have a 94 bird with the 3.8 liter, and I have a 95 with a 4.6 liter in it.
Can anyone tell me if my fuel mileage sound right? I get a cosistant 25 mpg out of my 4.6 liter, but can only seem to get around 17 mpg out of the 3.8. it just doesnt seem to make any sense to me that the 4.6 would do so much better than the v6 |

The 4.6 doesn't have to work as hard to pull the weight of the car. I don't know what you should be getting with the V6, since I never owned one, but that is my opinion.

I agree. That poor V6 has to scream it's head off to get that Thunderbird moving. The 4.6L is more like "meh".
