2001 tahoe keyless entry problems

I am having issues re-programming my keyless entry remote. I have tried the intructions found on this site but when I let off the unlock button, nothing happens and when I hold the lock and unlock buttons down on the trasmitter, nothing happens.

I took my radio out and confimred that I have a model number 15732806 under my dash. I bought the receiver model 15732803 from ebay.

See http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t349153.html and make sure the transmitter batteries are good. Replace with new ones in necessary.
