Is your caprice dirty?

Mine is getting full of papers, wires, and things. Had to make room for a co-worker whom needed a ride to some places today..

I'm gonna vacuum and clean it this weekend.

Oh, and btw. Washed and waxed my baby.

Re: Is your caprice dirty?

I actually keep my car really clean, like it barely ever needs a vaccum, i always armor all the dash and door panels too, even down to an air freshener hanging from the mirror lol

Re: Is your caprice dirty?

I don't have a Caprice, but both my Impalas are always dirty (they are black). Even under a dust cover in a heated garage, they get dirty.

Re: Is your caprice dirty?

Yes, black is the worst color to have if you never want dirt to show.

Re: Is your caprice dirty?

One of the reasons I decided not too paint mine black when the time comes. Don't want to have to wash it everytime I want to drive it.

Re: Is your caprice dirty?

mine will get these light brown dots on it from time to time, i hate when i leave my car next to a sprinkler, cause it will either leave BIG white spots everywhere, if theres dirt in the water that too, or even worse like ive seen on some cars, copper stains.

Re: Is your caprice dirty?

The outside of mine is always pretty crappy looking with the fading, the knicks and chips in the paint, and different shades of color all over, I hardly ever wash it anymore just because it never really makes a cosmetic difference. Inside though I always keep nice a clean. Armor all-ed, vacuumed, windows washed inside and out, and one of them blue "new car" scent pine trees. One of the reasons I love driving the car so much... The interior is in nice shape, and when it's all clean it looks awsome, it's so comfortable, roomy. Then to cruise around on a summer evening just as it's starting to cool off a bit, windows down, listening to the crisp, clear sound of all four Alpine speakers in tune with the two subwoofers in the trunk that make drum beats come alive. Then not to mention the power of a 350 at your disposal. Ah this isn't good, daydreaming about driving my car while I'm at work. Anyway I got side tracked. In a nutshell: Outside: dirty, inside: clean, trunk: clean, engine compartment: so/so.

Re: Is your caprice dirty?

I don't think I've washed my car more than twice in the year and a half I've had it. I think the messed up paintjob sucks that extra love out of me that would go into making sure she stays clean. Right now all teh love goes into trying to get/keep her running right.

Re: Is your caprice dirty?

Ah, nevermind then. I coulda sworn I saw your car while I was down there. I was in Oviedo once, but I can't remember where I saw the car. So did I miss out on any good pick and pull junk yards in the area while I was down there. I looked in the phone book, and tried the car-part lookup technique, but didn't really find anything.
