86 chevy 305 identification

i have a 305 out of an 86 chev pick-up if i post the serial number will someone be able to tell me what 305 i have and its power rating?

thanks . . . . i will have the serial number posted later tonight when i get home from work

An '86 305 truck engine is likely to be an LG4 and if memory serves, 145 HP and 245 TQ. Not real powerful.

ok trhanks, but just to be sure the number on the block is 14094766 is it the same engine with the same power?

14094766 comes back as 86-up 2-bolt (all 305s are) one-piece block. It's basically in anything 305 from 1986 through 2003 and to the current day in marine applications. If it has a carburetor it will be an LG4. It won't have a roller cam.
