My boss is looking to build a motor for his prelude, its a H23...but can he use the H22 block? He can get a good deal on the H22 block...just wondering if there is any difference? Probaly just the oil passage for the vtec soleniod.....If any one know, i allready posted in the prelude section, but as we all know things get answered faster here.....thanx

Well he can use the h22 head on his h23 block. I think its pointless to go the other way around cause it doesn't do anything. Tell him to do h23 v-tec set up. THe fastest all motor car has that set up

I meant he's looking for a block to build up, cant find a h23 block cheap but he can find a cheap h22 block.....if you can do the 22 head on a 23 block you should be able to do a 22 block and a 23 head.....right?

well if hes going to go h22 bottom then he might as well get the h22 vtec head, it'd be stupid to use an h23 head on the h22 block. it'd be like putting a ls head on a gsr bottom

one thing that just came to mind. if you have the whole h23 engine, why dont you just build that, if you put a h23 head on a h22 block i think you might even lose power since your losing that .1 liter you had with the head on the h23.
