2007 toyota corolla died,wont start
as I was backing out of the driveway it sputtered and died. attempts to start were unsuccessful after checking the the butterflyjust out of the filter box, any fuses that might be blown, and other simple stuff. it will crank and every now and then try to fire........help......2007 corolla ce 16valve 33000 miles

Sounds like you're either not getting either gas or spark. Make sure you've got enough gas, then see if you have any stored trouble codes (got a check engine light on?). Your car is too new...my guess is you've got a defective part...have the dealer tow it & fix it under warranty.

I have an06 and i had the same prob the fisrt time it was because of a defective fuel pump and it wouldn't hold presure and then it just stoped working so the dealership had to replace it then the second time the car had a check engine light with truoble codes and it ended up being the ECU wich is under warrenty for 8years 80,000 miles so they had to replace that and come to find out they have been haveing probs with those left and right even on the new 2008 and 2009 models
