Rough Idol stopped after Battery disconnected

2000 Blazer LS V6 4X4

Last monday it idoled eratically at stop lights but seemed to be fine while driving. Idol was fine the rest of the week. Then yesterday when to start it and idoled very eratically when idoling and diving just a couple blocks and service engine soon light came on. I went straight back home and disconnected that battery to reset the service engine light. Waited about 30 min and reconnected the battery and it ran fine. Even better than it did earlier in the week with a normal idol. If anyone might know what might be causeing the some help would be greatly appriciated.

Matt

If it happens again stop at Auto Zone or Advanced Auto and get a free engine scan this will give us an idea what to check.
