TCCM installation
I want to install a salvaged TCCM in my blazer, PN:12577412; however, I dont know if the software on it can be/should be updated with my VIN information.
All of the posts I have read only one suggests this. It would seem that tire size and transmission types would affect the operation of the unit. Has anyone installed one of these without fiddling with the software, or should it be a standard "no brainer"? 99 4.3 NP8 Thanks in advance, Whitney

There are two different TCCM's for your year depending on whether you have auto 4X4 or not. The incorrect one won't plug in. If you have the correct one, it's just plug & play. Hope that fixes your problem.
