my hell in SVT land
i havent even had this car for a year... it spent six months in the shop... im pretty sure im down to having to change the head gasket and water pump ( again )... a couple of months ago it apeared that someone tried to open my drivers side door with some sort of pry bar... the red light on the dash that normally blinks was solid on at the time... the battery went dead after awhile so i replaced it, i read something in my haynes manual about replacing the battery with the security system enabled will reset the PCM... when i turn the key on everything works fine electrically, stereo, dash lights, etc... but when i turn it to ignition nothing happens... fuel pump doesnt run, no spark, so starter click, doesnt even attempt to turn over... do i need to get my PCM reset? and if so is there a way i can do it without taking it to the asshole dealership?

Re: my hell in SVT land
Just disconnect the negative terminal on the battery for 10 minutes and it will reset the PCM.

Re: my hell in SVT land
no dice... disconected and waited a lil more than ten minutes, i may not have noticed it last time becuase it was daylight out but the security light goes full red when i turn from "off" to "ignition" so im guessing the security system is armed... any way out of this without towing the damn thing back to the dealership... i might just tell them to keep it this time... blah
