got some more info i forgot to put down about the 89 t.b. LX 3.8 it has that bad nock but like i say you turn steering will it will quit nocking checked H.B. it's good. no missing to it. like i said earlier i think flywheel? what do you tranny men think?

Could it be a bad motor mount?

Also, that year had an air compressor for the catalytic convertor. I wound up bypassing my air pump which eliminated a loud clunk clunk sound. I thought it was a nock in the engine. You can check this by taking off the drive belt and starting the engine. Don't drive anywhere, you won't have a water pump and will overheat!

If it is a nock, I'd try an oil change. If the nock stays exactly the same, it probably is not an engine nock.
