Code p0741 Transmission will not shift past 2 gear
01 Yukon xl 4L60E. Code p0741. Transmission will not shift past 2 gear. I have changed the TCC and the TCC width modulation valve. Tranny still does the same thing. Any suggestions.

I just had this same problem with my 1992 C2500 with the 4L80E tranny. turned out to be the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) cost me $27 dollars at the dealer. Fixed it ! (whew)

Code P0741 is a tcc code. Unless transmissiomn has went to failsafe mode 741 should not keep it from shifting past 2 nd gear. Get it on a good transmission capable scanner and check it out. There should be more codes someplace. Post back what it does after code clear and other codes. MT

Also check transmission fuse and power and wiring to computer.
