97 s10 4.3L blazer 4x4 manual NO Dash Lights

I have serveral problems. First, I turn the key, but no dash lights come on. The windows work, front lights, taillights, radio all works. I twist the key to turn on the truck, but only the motor turns, no fire. It all happend when I was starting to hear a sound coming from the front of the truck after letting go the gas pedal at 60mph. You hear this chain-dragging sound (rattling) when u let go of the gas pedal then following you hear an WWWWWOOOOOoooooooo sound like coming from the transmission or the front axle..its hard to tell being inside the truck. The rattling chain sound only happens if you pick up the speed to above 55mph or so, and only if u let go of the gas pedal. If you press the gas pedal after hearing the sound, it starts to fade away. When I got home, and turned it back on, the dash lights flickered a few times, then went out. The truck also feel so HOT.but the temp. needle stays normal, unless the thermerostat is not working. Now I'm stuck with no dash lights. HELP ME! As for the sound, I think its stuck on 4Hi, how could I check for that if the button do not light up?
