Fuel Pump??

Hey got a new fuel pump, was a pain but got it into the tank and all set, worried about a few things with it....But, what is that black box that a fuel line runs to behind the fuel tank next to the spare tire? I have a 2000 ZR-2 and have a chilton just dont have it with me and Im at work just curious what the crap it is...thanks!

Technically a charcoal canister typically with a purge valve attached used to filter out "hydrocarbons" when the tank regulates pressure release. the unfortunate cause of many useless check engine lights.

Re: Fuel Pump??

Without pictures, I'd say you're referring to the EVAP vent solenoid. The EVAP canister is behind the left rear tire, in the quarter panel.
