I have another problem i just found out.On my 97 the heater/ac control only blows on high.I thought it was the switch so i pulled the heater control switch out of my 96 winnie that worked fine and did a swap but it still only blows on high in my 97.I switched it back to my 96 and it works fine.Is there a resistor or a relay that i should check? This is one of the strangest things i have ever seen.Thanks.

Thanks tripletdaddy. It was the resistor box right under the glovebox by the blower motor...

Re: 97 Windstar Heater/AC Only blows on High
Do you still have what I posted? Somehow the forum lost it. If you do, could you somehow get it back. Whatever you do, don't refresh it or it will be gone! What I posted is useful info for the next guy and I really, really don't want to retype it. I've already redone three!?! Urgghh

Here it is
It sounds like your blower motor resistor has gone bad. It is located on the evaporator housing(the coldest part of the black box under the dash when the ac is on) under the dash on the right side. I want to say it is under the glove box, next to a small light bulb (not sure if it is exposed or not), a round metal can for operating one of the hvac doors inside it, and to the left of a large section. It will have a 4 wire connector to it with wires black, red/orange, light blue/orange, orange/black. It should be available at a parts store I'm pretty sure. If you had no fan at all, then the relay would be suspect. Good luck. ***************
