2008 Elantra Tranny problem

HI
Have just bought a new Elantra 2008 and now have 2000 kms. on it. Great mileage and a good car.

Woke up this morning and check engine light came on and the EPS light. Started driving and the transmission would not change gears properly. (automatic). It would move into 2nd gear at high revs and i never did get out of second gear but limped 50 kms. to the hyundai dealer at up to 75 kms. per hour. Not much choice. Turned off and on a few times as i drove, but lights did not go off.

Hyundai could not find anything wrong and reset the engine sensor and the transmissin sensor. I guess they werent talking to each other? It is now working fine, but i have a bad feeling until resolved.

Also have a 2000 elantra with 190,000 kms on it.

Just wanted to let people know.

Re: 2008 Elantra Tranny problem

Check engine light came on again and car not running well.

Seems there is a batch of elantras with faulty fuel pumps.

The fuel pump has been change and the car is running fine. Mileage even seems better.
