1999 Pontiac Grand Prix

I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix Gt thats making a weird noise that i have no clue where it coming from. I have checked all the pulleys like the water pump,Power steering pump,Tensioner, Idler every thing I have replaced the Serpentine Belt as well still no luck. If i take out the belt the noise is still there so i dont know what else it can be from i have put alot of money onto this car hopefully someone can help me out. The noise sounds like some kind of bearing noise if you know what i mean.

Before you put any more money into it, bring it to someone you trust who will properly diagnose the problem. It could be internal, or maybe something to do with your timing chain

Re: 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix

Is teh noise a whining noise or a whistling noise?

Does it make the noise when parked, or only when moving?

Does it steadily change in pitch with vehicle speed or only when the trans shifts?

Be as specific as you can as to what the noise is and what affects it's pitch/frequency and post back.

Re: 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix

Is it possible to get a video or audo clip of the noise?

How is your trans shifting? Very harsh shifts by chance?
