96 common a/c problem=??
1996 gxe with about 120,000 miles. Is there a common reason a/c,s go out on these cars?

not that im aware of, if anything it would be a lack of lubricant or a leak that discharges the oil or allows moisture in.... also it could be the compressor clutch/wiring

I noticed on my 96 ser that the A/C line in front of the radiator (look close at the line on the passenger side in front of the radiator) has worn down from rubbing and is leaking horribly. I haven't replaced it yet (I only noticed about a week ago) but I'm hoping that is the only problem. Shoot a little of the recharge in it and you'll probably hear the leak I'm talking about (if its there at all).
