2005 LaCrosse Minor Problems

I bought a 2005 LaCrosse CXL early this year. It has 40,000 miles on it. There are a couple of things that I am having problems with:

1. The wiper fluid wont come from the drivers side. The pressure is very low and it barely comes out. I have checked the lines and they are not pinched too. Any suggestions.

2. The compass works fine most of the time but every now and then it goes crazy. Like last weekend, I was in Chicago and it went crazy. I don't know if slow traffic and hot weather has anything to do with it. Any suggestions.
