Exclamation Hood latch

Hi, my 2002 Sonoma hood release is broken (cable i think) does anyone know how to bypass the hood release to open the hood, thanks

Have a look under the dash and see if the cable is broken at the release handle. If yes, use vice grips to grip the exposed end of cable.
Otherwise you have to get under the front of the truck and monkey with the latch. Sometimes a length of wire can be threaded into the latch where the cable attaches. Removing the grille if possible may make the job a bit easier.
