Unhappy 89 Instrument cluster

Hi, I have a 89 Beretta V6 GT. It has a digital instrument cluster but the tachometer skips around and never reads the correct speed. -what could this be?...do I need to get a new cluster?. Also the cluster is very dim and can just barley make out all the components...is that because my bulb is blown? let me know ASAP thanks.

Re: 89 Instrument cluster

I cannot help you on the tach but sounds like it is toast. The dash light problem is most likely bad bulbs. Usually 3-4 lamps is most all cars, they last a long time but eventually several will pooh out. get the number off Advance auto parts online and go buy several of them. Replace them at all at once. Getting ready to do this on my old 86 F-150 truck as well....
