Re: oil pressure/sending unit

Just so you know, I looked into this further after I replied to your other thread about your cluster. The BCM is not involved, the Cluster reads right from the Class 2 Bus which I didn't know for sure. But you will still need to get the PCM edited by someone, or your self if you know how to reprogram one. The LA1 (base Engine) PCM isonly programmed to recognize 0 and 1 from the sender (whether the pressure is ok or not), not a value like the L36/L67 ones are. I don't think that would be too difficult though.

Re: oil pressure/sending unit

You still have to change the sender, the one thats in there is just like a switch. on if the pressure is ok, and off it its low.

Re: oil pressure/sending unit

My Avatar was just a PHotoshop of my car with the SS Tail Covers, But never did get them. The pic of my sig is one of the newer pictures of my car ya. You can add a sig or avatar by going to your "User CP" at the top.

And I also found my repair manual, and the Oil pressure switch should be right beside the Oil filter.
