Need pink dash kit...

Just purchased an 08 Cobalt LS Sedan w/o power windows. I am now looking for a full pink dash kit (should be about 46 pieces.) Prefer hot pink, even pink carbon fiber would work. Having a hard time finding a full kit in pink, I have found 21 piece kits in pink though.

Trying to avoid vinyl and do not want to paint due to re-sale value. (I don't think a guy is going to want a car with a pink interior, lol)

Thinking about buying it in white and paintng that... so I would also appreciate any advice on where to get a hot pink paint that looks amazing plus any tips for painting a pre-made dash kit.

Any ideas? THANKS!

Re: Need pink dash kit...

A lot of auto part stores can mix custom colors of spray paint for not a whole lot more than what a can off the shelf would cost. You may also want to apply a layer of clearcoat over the paint, it should keep it looking shinier longer. You may want to apply primer/paint/clearcoat to a test piece of trim (from a salvage yard) and put it in an oven for a few hours at 200 degreees or so, just to make sure it's not going to all peel off on a hot summer day when it's parked with the windows up. I know 200 degrees sounds high, but there was a report on the news that said that parked in direct sunlight the interior temperature can get up to 180 degrees, that's in Iowa which is nowhere near as bad as further south.

Since I helped you out, maybe you could help me out? I am thinking about buying a Cobalt, if you could respond to my post titled "Buying a Cobalt?" I would appreciate it, even if all you can answer is how you like it. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=912666
