Heres the rundown
Head unit sony cdx-gt500 Amp Kenwood 9103d or a 4 channel whatever works 1 kicker L7 in a box 2 rear 6x9 5-way kenwood speakers. I was wondering can i hook up this amp to the kenwood speakers that i just installed in the rear deck if so how do i go about doing it. Someone told me to use the rca from the back of the head unit. Also would i leave the speakers connected to the factory wires in the back and also run more wires from them to the amp please any help would be appreciated before electrocute myself Thank you |

Re: speaker help
I'm a little confused I guess. What is powering the L7 ? Why a 4 channel amp if you only have 2 rear 6X9's ?

Re: speaker help
I have a kenwood 9103d mono amp 1800 watts powering the l7. I was just wondering if i can also hook the 6x9's up to this amp. If not what kind of amp do i need to hook the sub and the speakers up to the amp.

Re: speaker help
you cannot connect full range speakers like the 6X9's to the same mono amp as the sub(s). You will need a seperate amp, if you have door speakers in the front as well then get a 4 channel amp to power the 4 full range speakers. If you just have the 6X9's in the rear then a 2 channel amp will be fine.
