Those hard to find 12 inch tires!
I just wanted to put this out there because I know I'm not the only one hunting these tires. I couldn't find the 145/80 R12 that are specific to the metro anywhere. If I did find them they were to be back ordered and it may take weeks. I did manage to find the next best thing which is from what I'm told becoming the new standard for the 12 inch metro replacement 155 R12 76S. So if you're desperately searching these things out the best place to go is gearworksmfg.com. The tire brand is conveniently called GEOSTAR. For a set of 4 shipped from IL to NC was $151.35. I'd say that's a good price. You can even pay with paypal. My metro came with a set of old rotted 155 R12 76S tires on it which were pretty close to the 145/80 R12 on one of my others when compared. Good luck...

Re: Those hard to find 12 inch tires!
Nice find there bud! I'll put that one away for the future! That gives me two places to find tires for about the same price (onlinetire had them $149 shipped to Georgia).

Re: Those hard to find 12 inch tires!
Up here in the Great White North it's Walmart - usually $25 each, and seem to always be in stock. The one they advertise is a Marshall KR11, seems to be a great tire - I've had 3 sets of them and can get 80 - 100,000 km out of a set.

Re: Those hard to find 12 inch tires!
Upgrade to 13" wheels and run P155/80R13 or P175/70R13 tires.

The Tire Rack has the factory Size 145/12's in the Yokohama Y372 series all season tires for $42.00 a tire OR The size I use on my Metros (155/80/12) in the Kumho Power Star 758's for $34.00 a tire.... . Good to see these back in stock again! Get them ASAP.........I snagged a set off of another tire dealer a month ago before they ran out!
