Antifreeze Leak....where is it coming from?

Well, I have been reading a lot of posts so I thought I would throw a question out there concerning an antifreeze leak i am having. The leak I am fairly convinced is coming behind my firewall (if thats what you that back wall under the hood) It leaks from somewhere there down onto my muffler. I can also see it seeping out of the front of the wall near what I am assuming is a coolant hose going into the firewall. But that hose doesn't seem to be the culprit. Do I take my dash out to investigate? I like all the MPG tips too..I am going to try some of those.

[quote=247music]You might try to get hold of pressure tester and pressurize the system. This will let the leak be seen easier and help find it. But if you sure in that area problay heater core.

I had this problem. It turned out to be the bracked that bolts the coolant tube to the intake manafould had over time developed a hole that started leaking. The leak will keep getting worse if you don't fix it. I used JB weld to fix mine. Be sure to prep the surface very well if you JB it. Better to just replace it if you can.
