Who remembers A Perfect Circle? What did you think of their guitarist, Billy Howerdel? Well, I always thought his sound was a guitar portraying sex. (really, APC's 1st album "Mer De Noms" is great to have sex to) So how did I describe APC to people? "Well, it's Sex-Rock."

Billy Howerdel decided to build another project. He plays almost every instrument in this new band, with the exception of drums left to Josh Freese (The Vandals, Devo, A Perfect Circle), and Devo Keenan (son of Maynard James Keenan of Tool, A Perfect Circle, Puscifer) on cello, as well as some famous contributors such as Jonette Napolitano (Concrete Blonde, -vocalist/bassist), Matt Skiba (Alkeline Trio, -vocalist/guitarist), Paz Lenchantin (Zwan, A Perfect Circle, -bassist).
This album was released in April, so it's been out a bit, but I just got it. DAMN, what an album!! definitely awsome alternative rock. This is sex-rock! Its an album that exudes emotion, thick and full sounding, very well produced and very ... A Perfect Circle-ish. Softer... lyrically different... but in general, it feels that way. Its such a joy to listen to, relax to, think to, and i guess i'll need to find out if infact its good to sleep to
. Their single, "The Stone" is fantastic! i havn't watched the video yet, but i'll post it up and watch it once I post this. This band has shown me just how great a musician Billy is. I remember loving the viking metal band Wintersun because it was an amazing effort made really by one guy. This is Billy Howerdel teaching us what softer, alternative rock' n roll is, basically all by himself. Oh, and he's got a really, really good voice complimenting his already soothing yet piercing guitar skills. SO CHECK IT OU!!
