Used Car vs New Car

Does it make a big difference if I buy the same car brand new or used? For example I have seen a few GTI's (08) for sale with a few thousand miles, or I can just purchase it from the dealer. How much of an impact (of course a guess) do you think it would have?

Thanks!

Re: Used Car vs New Car

The year does make some difference, since totalling a newer car costs the insurance company more to repair.

I'm not sure of the exact amount/how much it would be, so would recommend you check with your insurance carrier for exact amounts.

You should be able to give them a call and get the quotes; they're usually happy to do so.

Re: Used Car vs New Car

I always go for second hand cars... the quality is still very good but the price got a very very little impact.
