I have a question about my 1998 Eighty Eight Olds LS model. today while driving my vehicle started to have a knocking sound comming from the engine, when its driving and idleing. i was wondering is this going to cost me major $$ or what could be the problem. does this car have knock sensors? any help would be appreciated

Re: Engine Knocking Sound
Welcome to AF, from here there is no way to tell what an engine knocking sound comes from, it could be a valve noise, a bad bearing or internal, drive pulley bearings and so on. Somone has to listen to this directly to give you any meaningful advice.
