00 Rodeo A/c Problem
We bought a 2000 Rodeo in Feb. The last couple months the a/c is cold as long as the car is moving, but as soon as I stop as at a stop light the air goes warm. By increasing the rpms to above 1200 it cools back down.
Is it just low on coolant or what? Also it has an annoying rattle in the back laggage area. Is this a common problem? Thanks |

Re: 00 Rodeo A/c Problem
Most likely low charge on the a/c. Mine was doing the same thing last week. Take it to someone that works on automotive a/c to get it fixed. You dont want to risk over charging it with the kits you buy in the parts stores. That tends to kill compressors.
The rattle might be from the jack. Its behind the small door on the drivers side of the cargo area. It should be tightened up against the retainer bar.
