grill
I have a 2001 ls v8 and i will be purchasing a new grill with chrome center vertical bars with outer edging silver to match my color paint. the thing is i like the stock outer edging because it is chrome. when i go to install the new one can i disassemble the chrome outer edging from the stock grill and swap it on the new one??

not likely - most pre-2003 (Gen1) LS grills are two piece - the top chrome cap and the bottom black plastic vanes.
most grills on 2003+ (Gen2) LS are one-piece. The entire grill can be swapped into all years/models.
