Gas in air filter

Hello all,----1990 Cutlass Supreme, 3.1, v6, od=140k

My cutlass has been acting up again. Its become hard to start, you have to keep cranking and give it gas or it will not start. Then when it is started it dies unless i shift it to nuetral and keep some gas on it even while driving, if i let off the gas in drive it dies, it surges in idle intermentantly in park if it manages to idle for a minute. i opened the hood and found gas inside the hose that connects the air filter box to the manifold, the 4 inch black hose. i had found one of the spark plug wires undone, but i doubt that will cause gas to back up like that. Also the vacuum lines that connect to the FPR were disconnected with gas in side them. Also the check engine light comes on but throws code 12 only for 3 times when i jumper the top righthand terminals with a wire. nothing but code 12. which means nothing i think.

Please help before car blows smooth up.

Re: Gas in air filter

If fuel was in the FPR hose the FPR is bad, loading up the engine, replace it and change the oil also.
