radio plays even though truck is off

At times i would turn off my 2004 F 150 and take out the key and the radio would still be playing. Would is causing this problem ?

Does the radio stop when you open the door? If it does I'm thinking this is normal. My car radio will keep going for about 15 minutes unless I open the door. Once the door is opened it will automatically shut itself off.

I agree with the above statement. My 2006 F-150 radio will stay on until i open the door.

Is yours a factory or aftermarket radio? if it is aftermarket there is a possibility that the radio was wired incorrectly to constant power.
