Post looking for a answer about shifter

has anyone converted shifter from column to floor what i want to do is use the old horse shoe style shifter in my 73 nova i also want to use old school center console say out of a chevelle or a old camaro before i spend the money i want to find out has anyone done this ?

Depending on the trans that you have, original or not, there are a few kits to convert from column to floor shift. As far as the console, there were many '68-'74 novas that came with factory console and bucket seats, I assume you have a bench, as well a the '67-'69 camaro that should fit with no problem.

I bought a hurst kit for my three speed....problem is there is no room to move under the car to do it.....I just may have someone do it that can...get'r done.

Put it up on jack stands, remove the dist cap, take out the trans crosssmember and lowerthe trans a little to get some room to work. Save the money of having someone get'r done.
